From a humble kitchen in St. Augustine, FL to a beloved east coast wings destination — discover the passion, people, and purpose behind every bold bite.

A Love Affair with Bold Flavor

East coast wings was born in 2009 out of a simple conviction: that great wings deserve real craft. Our founder, Marcus Hale, grew up eating wings at family cookouts along the Florida coast, each gathering filled with laughter, music, and the unforgettable aroma of sauced-up wings coming off a smoky grill.

After years of perfecting his signature recipes and studying traditional east coast wing preparations from Jacksonville down to Miami, Marcus opened our first location on Anastasia Blvd in St. Augustine with six sauces, twelve tables, and one relentless commitment — to serve wings worth talking about.

What started as a neighborhood spot quickly became a community staple. Word spread that our east coast wings were different: hand-tossed in house-made sauces, fried to a perfect crisp, and served with sides crafted from locally sourced ingredients. Today, we continue that same tradition with the same love for bold, honest flavor that Marcus put into that very first batch.

A Decade of Bold Milestones

2009

The First Location Opens

Marcus Hale opens the original East coast wings on Anastasia Blvd with a menu of 6 signature sauces and 12 tables. Lines form on opening weekend.

2012

Award-Winning Flavor

Our Honey Gold sauce wins "Best Wing Sauce" at the Florida Food Festival, putting East coast wings on the regional food map for the first time.

2015

Catering Program Launches

Due to popular demand from local events and corporate clients, we launch our full-service catering program, bringing east coast wings flavor to gatherings across Florida.

2018

Menu Expansion

We grow from 6 to 18 sauces, introduce our signature loaded sides, and expand our dining room to accommodate the growing St. Augustine community.

2021

Franchise Program Begins

We open our franchise program, allowing passionate entrepreneurs to bring the East coast wings experience to new communities across the southeastern United States.

2024

Online Ordering & Expansion

Our new digital platform launches, making it easier than ever to order east coast wings for pickup or delivery — and we continue to grow across Florida and beyond.
